On January 18, UCA, a university in El Salvador, recently released a survey report on the country’s citizens’ views on Bitcoin.

Overall, 14.1% fully trust Bitcoin, 13.2% have some confidence, 34.8% have no confidence, and the rest are in the middle, the report shows.

The survey also revealed that an estimated 22 percent of the country’s population doesn’t even know what Bitcoin is, let alone how to use it.

According to the survey results, the vast majority of respondents believe that Bitcoin laws favor the wealthy, governments, foreign investors and entrepreneurs over the general public.

Specifically, 25.6% thought it was good for the wealthy, 20.5% thought it was good for the government, and only 10.9% thought it was good for the general public.
